Bio 

Dutch Senft (b. 2002, Baltimore, MD) is an artist working across painting, drawing, and sculpture. Shaped by a business education, fraternity life, and constant digital dependency, he works from within the very systems his work presses against—capitalism, masculinity, art history, and digital culture. Rather than attempting to stand outside these conditions or resolve them conceptually, he uses painting to work through their friction. The studio becomes a site where his contradictions are not explained away but made physically present.

Alongside his studio work, Dutch is an Associate at Archer Hawkins Gallery in Baltimore, an artist-run and accessible exhibition space dedicated to supporting emerging artists. Dutch began painting in his teens after his older brother, Archer Senft (founder of Archer Hawkins Gallery) became a quadriplegic in 2015 and could no longer physically paint. Acting as Archer's hands, they collaborated on large-scale acrylic works which inspired Dutch to pursue his own practice.

Dutch is currently an MFA candidate at MICA’s Hoffberger School of Painting and will graduate in the spring of 2028.
